Happy Thursday, y'all!
I have electric (yay!), cable, internet, and phone again ... so my life is relatively normal again. However, my thoughts are with everyone else who was not so fortunate. Please consider donating to the Red Cross. Those of us in the Northeast are just not prepared for hurricanes. They don't happen here. Usually. That is why this storm was so dangerous and destructive. Every little bit helps.
I had some big blogging plans for this week ... but Sandy threw a wrench in those plans. Don't worry - I'll just move everything to next week.
Today is November 1st ... pretty exciting stuff. I'm not sure which month I love more - November or December. Regardless, I'm ready to decorate for Christmas. I'm sure some of y'all will yell at me for forgetting about Thanksgiving, etc. However, I assure you that I do not forget about Thanksgiving. I just like to decorate for Christmas. When my house is decorated for Christmas, it feels so warm, inviting, and happy. I love that feeling.
I am supposed to have my follow-up with the neurosurgeon today (although they called yesterday to reschedule, so I'm hoping its just for another time today). It's a big appointment because I should find out if any of my restrictions are lifted, as well as how well I'm healing, etc.
Ken and I are also planning to take our Christmas card picture this weekend because I'd like to get cards ordered. I'm thinking that I'd like a cute pose of the two of us, but right now I'm trying to decide on clothes. Here's where I need your help!
Have an idea for a pose we should use?
If I put him in stripes, should I wear stripes or one of the colors in his stripes? (I don't want to be matchy-matchy, but I'd like to be coordinated)

We also got power back last night! Just in time for my shower! It felt awesome! I donated today to the Red Cross. I am also wondering how I can donate things like clothes and what not to the people affected since they lost everything.
So glad you got your power back already! Hope you didn't have any or much damage. Do a coordinating color from his stripes. My boys are wearing striped shirts for our pictures and I'm just doing a solid cream shirt (theirs are brown/orange/cream). Hope your appointment goes well!
That's great that you have power again! I hope your appointment goes well. As for the color, I would wear a solid color since Ken is wearing stripes. :)
I'm so glad to hear things are back to semi-normal for you! I know when power is out it;s like the whole world stops :(
p.s. - definitely do a matching solid since he's doing stripes. I'm sure the pics will come out gorgeous :)
i'm happy to hear that everything is getting back to normal. you never know how much you rely on something until it is taken away from you.
i completely agree with you about Christmas. i feel like my house never looks better than it does during the Christmas season.
i hope that your doctor's visit goes/went well. keep us updated :)
Oh I can't wait to see y'alls pictures!! I say wear a solid color! I need to go pick out our outfits, too! We are taking ours next week!!
