Weekend Update ...

I guess I should start my weekend update by summarizing last week.
(Remember that I am only 3 weeks out of surgery) Monday - Work 4:30 AM to 2 PM Tuesday - Work 6:30 AM to 5 PM Wednesday - Work 5 AM to 4:30 PM Thursday - Work 6:30 AM to 3 PM (my normal schedule) Friday - Work 4:30 AM to 1:30 PM   Yes, 3 weeks post-surgery and I worked that many hours. I am exhausted and achy. and that is why I didn't blog much last week.   So anyway ... Friday night we went to a Halloween Party which was a BLAST. Hubby dressed as Waldo and I dressed as Waldo's girlfriend Wanda. Unfortunately, I don't have pictures because I'm apparently a bad blogger.   I had taken buffalo chicken dip to the party and got so many complements! I have NEVER gotten high fives and handshakes for making a dip! (I made this recipe, using the mozzarella and ranch because I despise blue cheese. I think the kicker was that I didn't use Franks because I've never been much of a fan. I used some killer Louisiana hot sauce, which gave it a lot of yummy kick!)   On Saturday I went to a craft show with my parents. I bought a new skirt for my Christmas tree and a few Christmas gifts. I also got asked if my baby was going to be my parents' first grandchild. To which I had to explain that no, I am not pregnant. I just had back surgery, so my abs are VERY weak and make me look like I am 2-3 months pregnant. But thank you for giving my self esteem a boost.

 Sunday we went to my parents' for Sunday dinner and then we came home and I slept. and I found out that Sandy has closed my husband's work today, and possibly tomorrow. My work? Nope. That's where I am right now ...

On a slightly more serious note, I hope that I will be able to get home from work safely and that if I have to work tomorrow, that it will be safe for me to drive.
